Session Overview:
Digital storytelling not only captures the imagination of teachers and students but also extends across all VELS strands.
Mark will explore the process of creating digital stories with students. It is intended that participants will leave the session with a classroom strategy to assist their students in the creation of digital stories - planning, producing, sharing, accessing, adapting and celebrating.
Mark will take you on a virtual ride down the innovation highway to explore the changing landscape of technology and the way we use it to communicate and educate.

Presenter Biography:
Mark is currently based at Northern Metropolitan Region of DEECD running Professional Development in school programs, focusing on digital story telling. Prior to this position Mark worked at Apollo Parkways Primary School in a range of roles including Navigator School Project Officer, Technology and Learning Manager and Teacher Development Centre Coordinator.
Mark is known for his work across Australia in the area of linking thinking and technology. He recently co authored 'Lift off to Learning' with Michael Pohl, focusing on implementing thinking and technology strategies into the classroom through inquiry based Learning.
